Official award record ↗01 / ABOUT
I’m Asif Newaz, a logistics and supply chain executive with a career spanning more than two decades.
I began in international logistics and freight forwarding in 2004, joined GEODIS in 2013 and became Managing Director of GEODIS Bangladesh in 2020. My journey connects hands-on freight execution with country leadership, commercial growth, operational excellence and financial discipline.
Working at the sourcing end of international supply chains has shaped my perspective: a delivery promise in Europe depends on decisions made much earlier—at the factory, at the booking desk and at the origin gateway.
My advisory focus brings that operational understanding to supply chain transformation, South Asia–Europe connectivity and the practical business application of AI-enabled intelligence.
02 / ADVISORY EXPERTISE
For European importers, retailers, logistics businesses and consulting teams working across South Asia.
Connect sourcing priorities with cargo readiness, gateway choices, carrier coordination and delivery commitments.
FOCUS / A more coherent end-to-end operating modelIdentify where disruption can reach your business. Develop escalation paths, alternative options and decision ownership.
FOCUS / Clear exposure and response prioritiesAlign commercial, operations, finance and people around meaningful KPIs, service quality and continuous improvement.
FOCUS / Accountability that connects strategy to executionFrame practical use cases that connect external signals with orders, shipments and business consequences.
FOCUS / A business-led roadmap for better decisionsA PRACTICAL STARTING POINT
Possible starting points: an origin-to-market review, a resilience workshop or an AI use-case assessment.
Discuss your priorities ↗Advisory themes describe the business problems I focus on. Any engagement is subject to scope, availability and existing professional responsibilities.
03 / EUROPE–SOUTH ASIA
Start with the commercial promise. Work backwards through transport, suppliers and information flows.
CORE OPERATING EXPERIENCE
Deep experience in apparel sourcing logistics, country operations and the coordination between factories, customers and international freight networks.
REGIONAL ADVISORY FOCUS
Apply a corridor-wide lens to multi-origin sourcing: supplier dependencies, inland movement, gateway options and the consistency of information.
CUSTOMER & DECISION PERSPECTIVE
Translate origin conditions into the questions European teams need answered: delivery reliability, inventory exposure, cost and customer commitments.
Bangladesh leadership and European collaboration are supported by professional records. India is a regional advisory focus; no India-specific client results are claimed.
Contributed an operating-business perspective to dialogue with French senators and the French Ambassador in Dhaka on investment, logistics infrastructure and business conditions.

04 / SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSFORMATION & AI
“Moving beyond tracking what has happened to understanding what may happen, who will be affected, and what action should be taken.”
What is changing?
Which flows depend on it?
What does it mean for the business?
Who decides what happens next?
A severe-weather warning threatens port operations near Chattogram.
Match the warning window to cargo-ready dates, departures and European purchase orders.
Identify orders whose inventory buffer may be insufficient if departure is delayed.
Validate conditions locally, prioritise orders and compare feasible options with customer approval.
Check the warning timestamp, cargo readiness, confirmed booking, latest carrier advice and customer inventory buffer.
A useful brief names the affected orders, the available options, an accountable owner and the next review time.
AI’s potential role: consolidate signals, match affected shipments and orders, summarise plausible consequences and compare response options.
Human accountability: validate sources, confirm operational feasibility and approve action. Confidence, data freshness and missing information must remain visible.
Illustrative scenarios, not live alerts or customer cases. No prediction model, commercial AI platform or measured performance is represented here.
My contribution is to define useful business questions, operational requirements and decision workflows. Technical implementation requires appropriate data, engineering and governance. The goal is earlier, better-informed action—not a dashboard with more noise.
